No fewer than 50 widows and students have benefited from the empowerment programme organised by Primate Messiah Oluwatoyin Allen, the Ondo State House of Assembly Member representing Ese Odo Constituency.
The empowerment took place at God Mercy Zion, Sabomi community in Ese Odo Local Government area of the state to mark the lawmaker’s 100 days representation.

The empowerment programme featured the distribution of writing materials to support the children’s education and cash to widows and the aged.
Notebooks were distributed to each representative of the Secondary schools. Among them are Community Grammar School Biagbini, Ebikiri Model College, Arogbo City Academy Arogbo, Okubama High School Ajapa, and others.
The lawmaker also commissioned the renovated Sabomi modern market as part of the 100-day celebration, appreciating Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and all party members’ support during and after his election.

Allen said he was giving back to his constituency in appreciation of their support and showing his passion and care for them, charging the beneficiaries to utilise what was given positively and urging the students to commit to their academic pursuits.
While advising parents, he said they should not relent in training their children, saying the children are their future, adding that a good and solid foundation should be laid for the wards.
He further admonished other political leaders to work as a team and build the youths to become stars in the future.
He called on the government to speed up action in making the road leading to Sabomi, Igbotun, and Irele LG motorable and passable for passengers and traders.

He said Ese Odo needed more attention and all the drainages needed to be channelised, appealing to the authorities in charge to take note.
Speaking with the journalists, His Royal Majesty Oba Felix Adeyemi Koledoye, the Okiribiti of Apoi Land, described Allen as a sellable candidate.
Similarly, former Local Government Chairman, Mr Iwarere Iji and APC Chairman Apoi Ward 3 Chief Joseph Eyitere described the event as one of its kind in the community and appreciated the MHA for the gesture.

On behalf of the widows and the aged beneficiaries, the Iyaloja of Kiribo, Mrs Modupe Ogundoro, thanked the lawmaker for giving back to them within his 100 days in office.
Student beneficiaries, including Miss Okiriji Tamarauetariemi and Elumaro Omotola, appreciated the MHA for his gestures.
