‘1,000 newly recruited teachers to receive letters March’

No fewer than 1,000 primary school teachers recruited in Ondo State will receive their employment letters in March, it has been disclosed.
The Chairman, Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB),Princess Oladunni Odu disclosed this in an interview with The Hope yesterday.
She said the process of recruiting the new teachers is at an advance stage adding that letters of employment will be posted to them and are expected to resume in March.
She said that more teachers will be employed in the state
Odu stated that the issue of lack of teachers will soon become a thing of the past as the recruitment of the new teachers will improve the teaching methodology and learning in the primary school sector in the state.
According to her:” We are in the process of recruiting more teachers for our schools,the process of recruiting is at an advance stage ,any moment from March, the letters will be posted to the new teachers and we will have more teachers in the system, we are on the final process” .
To stem the scourge of Coronavirus in the state, Odu also that said that Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) is putting up policy guidelines between now and next year to make provision for tablets for pupils in primary schools where they can learn.
She added that more new buildings and renovated classrooms are springing up to accommodate the influx of students in the schools.
