Osun United review players

The management of Osun United club has embarked on the upward review of the list of players retained that would be part of the team’s plan ahead of the 2019/2020 Nigeria League Season.

The management, in a statement signed by the President of the Club, Chief Ademola Adesina noted that names of retained and shortlisted technical crew and backroom staff together with those of players shall be released soon.

The president also said arrangement to acquire a  befitting camp for the team is almost concluded as the management expressed displeasure with the current team’s camp which is not suitable.

In a related development towards ensuring that all departments of Osun United are repositioned and strengthened, the management has also asked the technical crew of the club to step aside, pending the time further decisions will be taken.

Along with the technical crew which include the head coach, technical adviser, assistant coach and goalkeeper trainer, members of the backroom staff such as the team’s secretary, welfare, curator, masseur among others are also disengaged temporarily.

Adesina revealed that this is necessary to properly review duties and activities of all crew members and backroom staff with a view to repositioning all departments for better performance.

The management lauded all technical crew and backroom staff, some of whom have been there for several years for being loyal to the team and for their unalloyed support and perseverance.

The statement also directed the affected persons to hand over the property of Osun United in their possession to the Board Secretary on or before Tuesday, July 30, 2019.
