The General Overseer of The Way of Holiness Chapel (TWHC), Pastor Johnson Falade, has assured that God has revealed to him that the 2019 general elections  will be free, fair and devoid of violence.

Falade, who is also a senior lecturer at the Department of Linguistic Studies of the Adeyemi College of Education (ACE) Ondo, made the revelation recently in Ondo town shortly after delivering his opening charge as part of activities marking the annual convention of the church in Ondo town.

The cleric who said  that  the prophesy concerning what  the outcome of the exercise would be  was revealed to him in a vision he received from  God during a  seven-day convention recently organised in his  church in Ondo town.

While assuring the people of the country that the exercise will be held peacefully, Falade advised those exercising fear of possible outbreak of violence to forget the thought as he said the Almighty God has revealed to him that the election would be devoid of any crisis or rancour.

His wordS: “Though, I am not a politician, I have been praying for someone chosen by God that will rule the country according to the will of God, God has revealed to me that the election would be free, fair and devoid of war during and after the conduct of the exercise, let me also tell you this, the wishes of the people of Nigeria will prevail without leading to any violence”, he stated.

The cleric who also warned politicians to desist from using abusive words and languages while embarking on their campaigns, noted that politics is not only about bringing the opposition down, but a service to humanity and the society at large.

While quoting   several biblical passages to support his points, he called on relevant stakeholders in the country to continue to obey God’s commandments, stating that it is only God who appoints a person into position of authority without leading to violence or rancour.

While reiterating the readiness of his ministry to continue to pray for harmony, development and peace to continue to reign in Nigeria, the religious leader equally  appealed to all heads of security agencies operating in the country  to redouble their efforts ahead of the forthcoming elections.

The clergyman while lamenting over the series of killings in some parts of the country, especially the killings of christians, urged the Federal Government to adopt more political will in tackling the menace.

Speaking on the theme of the convention entitled : “Manifestation of the sons of God” the religious leader urged members of the church to always allow the virtues of Jesus Christ to manifest in their lives.

While congratulating members of the church over the celebration which he said is the 22nd edition to be organised  by the church, he admonished them to allow the theme to always manifest in their lives and dwelling homes, he equally admonished them to always live christian lives in all their dealings including their places of work.

The week-long activities featured several programmes which include, Ministers Conference, praise and worship, songs ministrations by members of the church choir, bible readings, Holy Communion service as well as thanksgiving among others.
