‘2019 polls better than previous ones’

The just concluded Presidential and National Assembly elections have been said to have recorded when compared with previous elections in the country.

This assertion was made by the Osun state Deputy governor, Mr Benedict Alabi while appraising the efforts of relevant stakeholders involved in the process.

Alabi commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) and its officials for putting in place adequate arrangements to ensure a hitch-free poll.

He also noted the high sense of professionalism demonstrated by the security agencies during the election.

Alabi said all the security agencies on duty on election day played a vital role in the success of the election and were civil in discharging their duties.

The deputy governor who expressed satisfaction on the impressive turnout of electorate said their positive disposition towards the poll is an indication that people are now enlightened on their civil responsibilities.

He also commended the electorate for conducting themselves in a peaceful manner during the voting process.
