2019: We’re for Buhari’s re-election- APC leaders

Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akure North Area of Ondo State have restated their commitment to the re-election bid of President Muhammadu Buhari, in the forthcoming elections in February.

The leaders who pledged their loyalty to the ruling APC unanimously stated this at an annual meeting organised by the State Commissioner for Information and Sports Development Hon. Saka Yusuf-Ogunleye at his Oba-Ile residence recently.

While addressing the gathering, Yusuf-Ogunleye thanked all the leaders and women in the area especially those in his ward for their support in the past years.

He, said the assemblage became very necessary to show appreciation to his people and to forge closer ties ahead of the coming general elections.

His words: “During the last governorship election, they voted massively for our party, (APC,). My supporters have been my pillars and I must let them know what we have achieved and what the government have in stock for them.

“For the first time, they are convinced now that they are having sense of belonging with their people, and very soon, I will host the youths too.

“As the general elections draw near, with the broom revolution, APC will win all elections in the state”, boasting that his party will win back the presidential seat and take the nation to the next level.

Yusuf-Ogunleye therefore encouraged the party members not to relent in their support and efforts to make the ruling party emerged victorious again at all levels in the coming elections.

Speaking with newsmen, the Woman Leader of Oba-Ile Ward 9, Mrs Remi Fagbemi thanked the commissioner for the assemblage which according to her is was recognition of the importance of women in politics.

Fagbemi maintained that all the women in the area are committed to the party, adding that they would work relentlessly to ensure President Muhammadu Buhari is brought back into power and all the candidates of the party emerged victorious in the  forthcoming general elections.

“We are for APC, we are for Buhari in Akure North and we will make sure that we deliver on our promise to give him 100 per cent of our votes in this area” she stated.
