2022 World Cup Qualifier: Eagles pip Cape Verde

Super Eagles of Nigeria yesterday defeated Cape Verde 2-1 in a World Cup qualifier group C match held at Capacity Estadio Municipal Aderito Sena, Mindelo.
Thanks to a first half equaliser from Victor Osimhen and Cape Verde own goal.
Cape Verde took the lead from Dylon Tabares 20 minute strike before the Napoli striker reduced the deficit 10 minutes later after he slotted home from a rebound.
Nigeria benefitted from Rocha Santos own goal to seal the victory at Cape Verde.
Super Eagles have so far garnered six points from two matches from the 2022 Qatar world cup qualifiers to top the group.
