Some Ondo State Commissioners have expressed optimism on the impacts the 2023 budget will create in the state.
Speaking shortly after their budget defence, the State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Mr Wale Akinlosotu noted that the ministry will take advantage of tourism potential, saying that the budget will ensure the development of tourist centres in the State.
The Special Assistant to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on Agric-business,Pastor Akin Olotu, explained that the budget will improve agricultural activities as well as the socio-economic well-being of the people at the grassroots.
Commissioner for Commerce and lndustry, Mrs Lola Fagbemi, assured that the budget will address unemployment and increase the internally generated revenue of the State.
Also, Commissioner for Energy, Rasaq Obe said that the State will soon be a hub for energy adding that his ministry will continue to develop and manage energy resources in a sustainable manner for the benefit of the people.
Chairman, House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, Mr Tomide Akinrogunde in an interview posited that the technical session of MDAs’ defense was fruitful of government.
He stressed that this was observed in the engagement of the House and the MDAs ,hoping that all hands would be on deck next year based on participants response. He commended the State Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget for its support during the session.
The budget defence ends today.
