The Senior Special Adviser to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State on Multilateral and Intergovernmental Relations, Mrs. Bunmi Ademosu has said that it was obvious for the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, to win the 2023 general elections despite the challenges facing the country.
She expressed this confidence in a chat with journalists in Akure, the State capital.
The governor aide said the current situation coupled with the economic challenges facing the country were not peculiar to Nigeria alone but a general problem in the world.
According to her, the current challenges being faced by the country should not be seen as the APC problem but as general problem.
Specifically, Ademosu noted the School Feeding Programme as part of landmark achievements by the Federal Government APC-led administration for the feeding of primary schools pupils in the country.
“There is nothing happening in Nigeria that is not happening in the western world.
“The economy is bad, this is not the APC problem. When a well is dried, what quantity of water will you pour into it to refill it.”
On the School Feeding Programme, Ademosu, said the claims by the food vendors that they were being shortchanged were untrue.
“Food vendors are being paid directly from Abuja, while those carrying rumour that they are being shortchanged lacked knowledge and information,” she said.
Appealing to media to rise to its responsibility in educating the public with information about the programme, she called on the food vendors to come to the proper channel to clarify what was not being clear to them.
