The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ondo State has said that members of the party who are working against its interest  ahead of the forthcoming elections will continue to be exposed

It explained that people like former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, and other Northern APC leaders, who adopted the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, for the 2023 election will not have space to stay to work against the interest of the party.

The State Director, Media and Publicity of the party, Mr. Steve Otaloro, stated this in an interview with The Hope yesterday.

He noted that Dogara and his people who decided to support opposition candidate  were left with their fate and would be put under surveillance following their decision to support Atiku.

Recall that the leaders, made up of Northern Christian leaders in the APC and other stakeholders, said the PDP candidate was adopted following the resolve of the leaders to work with their Muslim counterparts in the North to defeat the same-faith presidential ticket of the APC.

Otaloro, who noted that it was a not surprise that Dogara took this line of action said he started misbehaving when he was not considered as the running mate of the presidential candidate of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for the coming general elections.

According to him, “it is quite unfortunate for him to have used the same faith ticket to justify his reason for declaring support for Atiku.

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, he said had been telling Nigerians that his running mate,Senator Kashim Shettima was not picked   on religion reason  but strategically selected to win the election.

“Asiwaju Tinubu is a minority from the Southwest, for him to pick Northern Christian as a running mate will be a suicide.

“It is high time we started removing religion from politics. Dogara knows this, he became offensive when he was not considered. Christians from the north thought a Christian from their constituency will be picked.

“He (Dogara) came into the APC for this election. For him to say as the APC member working for the PDP is unfortunate and the loyalty in him is lost,”he stated.

Otaloro maintained that APC presidential candidate, Tinubu had in different fora interfaced with leaders in the country who understood while he picked muslim as a running mate.

He noted that Tinubu, who he noted is not religion biased person or fundamentalist describing him as a tolerant person who married Christian as wife with children practising the faith.

He recalled the tweet released by Atiku to condemn the killing of a female student in Sokoto State that was immediately removed by him, saying that he would not be courageous enough to fight innocent killings in the country if elected.
