By Jubril Bada
The presidential bid of former President Goodluck Jonathan has been described as “Dead on Arrival”.
A chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC),Prince Olu Adegboro, disclosed while commenting on former president’s defection to APC to pursue his presidential ambition.
According to him, those behind the former president to pick the presidential ticket of the APC will not succeed.
“Let those people advocating for him do so, they are doing so in vain and they will not succeed in picking the ticket of our party,” he affirmed
Adegboro, a former State Information Commissioner pointed out that Jonathan was not a member of the party, therefore, he could not suddenly join the party to pick its most important ticket.
“What success did he make while he was the president of this country. Almost all the problems people are criticizing today were created by him.
“During his time, there was security problem, corruption and economy was so bad. It was as a result of his administration Nigerians voted for President Muhammadu Buhari and allowed APC to take over from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)” he stated
Recall that Jonathan’s ambition had generated a lot of discourse and criticism from Nigerians and groups.
Some of his supporters had earlier stormed his Abuja residence asking him to declare for the 2023 presidency, while various groups also asked him to jettison his presidential ambition.
