The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Ondo State has said that it’s restrategising in order to rescue power in 2023.

The party made the call in a statement after its stakeholders’ meeting held early this week at the party’s Secretariat, Akure where recent developments within the party, Ondo State and the country at large were deliberated.

It added that it is only a united, strong and forward-looking PDP that could rescue and rebuild Nigeria.

According to the statement, the party noted the need to leverage on its strength and the influx of new members to reconfigure itself and reorganize for unity and collective progress.

It maintained the need to work beyond fissures and cleavages and organize as one, towards rebuilding the country.

The party in the statement called on all its leaders to mobilize from the unit, ward and local government area levels towards the victory of the party in subsequent elections.

It recommended that the State Executive Committee should create level playing grounds for all irrespective of their length of time of membership.

It said that members should subscribe according to their capacities by making human and material contributions for the growth and upliftment of the party.

The stakeholders’ meeting which was chaired by the State Chairman of the party, Alhaji Fatai Adams had former State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, ex-State Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi, and party leaders.
