The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima, members of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) as well as other party faithful are today expected to be in Ado-Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti State for the presidential campaign rally of the party.
The rally slated to hold at the expansive Ekiti Parapo Pavilion located along new Iyin road, Ado-Ekiti is part of the continuation of the electioneering campaign of the APC presidential candidate ahead of the forthcoming presidential elections.
According to a source close to the Ekiti State APC, the former Lagos State Governor would be meeting the traditional rulers at the Sani Abacha Hall, Old Governor’s Office, Ado-Ekiti, before heading to the venue of the rally.
When our correspondent visited the Ekiti Parapo Pavilion, where the rally is slated to hold, the ten thousand capacity pavilion was warn a new look as posters and billboard of the Presidential candidate, his running and other APC candidates were mounted in strategic locations around the pavilion..
The party in the state has since embarked on mass mobilization of youths, market women, artisan, driver unions, political groups and supporters of the party across the 16 local governments in the state.
It was gathered that various groups in support of the presidential project of Tinubu have been mobilizing their members across the state, apparently to receive the presidential candidate of the APC.
Speaking on the preparation ahead of presidential campaign rally, the Publicity Secretary of APC , Ekiti State, Mr Segun Dipe, who is also a member of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), explained that all necessary arrangements have been put in place to ensure successful hosting of the party presidential candidate and his team.
Dipe, said already over 150 support groups are on ground in the state to also drum support for the former Lagos State Governor and to ensure the success of the campaign rally.
Describing the APC presidential candidate as a visionary leader per excellence who has the capacity and credibility to move Nigeria forward, noted that his impact in transforming Lagos State while he was Governor can never be forgotten.
He disclosed that during the event which will be carnival-like, arrangement has been concluded to receive many members of the opposition parties to the rulling APC.
