2024 Hajj: Ondo to inoculate 502 intending Pilgrims

The Ondo State Muslim Welfare Board has said that it would inoculate 502 intending Pilgrims for the 2024 pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia on May 22, 2024.
The Chairman of the Board, Alhaji Zikirullah Adam Chandy made this known in a chat with The Hope, yesterday.
Chandy said the inoculation exercise would be done at the Muslim Welfare Board in Alagbaka, Akure.
He said the intending Pilgrims would be inoculated with yellow fever, Meningitis and Malaria as well as interview to ascertain the level of their preparedness and religious believes.
According to him, the inoculation is important which is the major exercise that will grant them entrance into the holy land.
He also informed that the intending Pilgrims had earlier been given a travelling bag of 7kg and uniforms for identification.
Chandy further revealed that a farewell ceremony would be organized for them on May 23 before proceeding to Ilorin international Airport where they would be airlifted.
He appreciated the State Government, particularly Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, for creating an enabling environment and provision of the logistics to ensure that they have a hitch-free exercise this year.
