2027: Who is afraid of President Tinubu?

By Ayodele Fagbohun
Without being immodest and in the face of daunting almost in superable but not insurmountable socio- economic and political challenges bedeviling Nigeria most of which are self inflicted by those at the helm of affairs. However, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, remains unperturbed!; well focused, possessed in ample qua from the requisite talisman couple with right ideological orientation to rescue the country from the iniquitous socio-economic and political trauma to the path of rectitude, sanity and political normalcy in all its ramifications within the shortest possible time.
President Tinubu can easily and aptly be described as a political tactician, strategist imbued with God given talent of high intelligent quotient, adept party organizer and mobilizer of men and resources to maximize profit.
The president’s inaugural address and promise to revive the ailing and visibly battered economy, create jobs and influence business growth, inspired youths and entrepreneurs.
While congratulating Mr. President on his assumption of office, the founder of Arica’s Young Entrepreneurs Organisation (AYE), Dr. Summy Francis said entrepreneurship is a major catalyst for job creation, poverty eradication and economic growth.
He urged the young entrepreneurs to take advantage of this new political dispensation.
President Tinubu rightly said without mincing words that young entrepreneurs hold the key of Nigeria’s present and future progress and development.
Francis advised the youths to position themselves and their businesses towards opportunities that will emerge from this political and economic shift.
As a pragmatic leader-politician who has transversed and navigated the same slippery political terrains by virtue of talismanic performance of the former Governor of Lagos State, the redoubtable Alhaji Lateef Kayode Jakande of UPN phenomenon in the Second Republic politics.
Ahmed Bola Tinubu, no doubt, hits the ground running in his laudable mission and vision of renewed hope and work assiduously to fix Nigeria and essay to leave the economy more resilient and buoyant than he met it.
The herculean and yeoman task embarked upon by President Tinubu and his financial team is nonpareil and beyond the ken of the novice in the ragtag political party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) which in the first instance had messed up the economy of the nation.
PDP and its leadership at the helm of affairs foisted ignoble rule on the people and vowed, out of greed and myopic shortsightedness, lack of vision, to rule and lord it on the country for 60 years running!
It would be recalled that PDP in its giddy days vaunted to its peril, without shame, quite oblivious of the constitutionality of civil rule, threatened to rule till eternity! What sheer bunkum!! Power enslaves and absolute power enslaves absolutely.
Now the opposition parties notably, the main opposition political party i.e the People’s Democratic Party in its vast shrinking base form, has failed abysmally to manage its ill gotten, stolen mandate recklessly seized by the jugular largely due to the corrupt influence and greed of the former President, General Olusegun Obasanjo to perpetuate reign of villainy thus pushing Nigeria down the cliff of political brinkmanship.
The decrepit political “philistines” under the pretext of membership in the various registered political parties; majority in the main opposition, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) whose accomplices ran the country under for upwards of two decades!
The derelict and political spent force in the group are only afraid of their own shadow which follows and taunts them sorely wherever they go having brazenly plundered the economic resources of the nation and betrayed the tenets of democracy and course of good governance in the country.
Doubtless, the PDP and its cohorts are afraid of the rising profile of indomitable President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his financial team in the course of remolding and remaking new Nigeria will clip the wings of the opposition.
Had it been the likes of religious bigots and brazen Islamic fundamentalists in the rank of former Vice President, Abubakar Atiku and his fellow travelers are wrongly in the saddle of Federal Government, Nigeria may probably have by now grabbled with religious mayhem that would have rendered the erstwhile religious war in Ireland a child’s play in the contemporary Nigeria.
As things stand, the good people of Nigeria welcome the relative peace in the Tinubu presidency having conscious of the fact the there is room for improvement in the face of pockets of violence and tribal warfare especially in the Northern part of the country. All these crises shall be a thing of the past as spirited efforts be adequately mustered to restore peace, harmony and concord across the nation.
As hands must be on deck at this juncture to muster and organize the people of Nigeria especially the youths supposedly the leaders of tomorrow to rally round the president, in the task of good governance along the credible and sustained path of socialist ideological framework to better the country for a new beginning!
Suffice to say, the nation is naturally endowed with incredible manpower, natural resources and the wherewithals to promote economic well-being, and the best interests of the entire population on the path of self sufficiency.
Besides, there should be enough for export and to boost food production especially at the domestic level must be the ultimate priority.
Doubtless, and simultaneously agro-allied industries should be given the right momentum and necessity to accelerate industrial revolution which is the driving force of this new dispensation.
Only a courageous, astute and seasoned politician, elder statesman, made up of sterner stuff and stout constitution can perform this feat.
The present occupant of Aso Rock Villa, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Jagaban of our time who won’t give a damn, will urgently perform and do the needful , thereby turning Nigeria in our lifetime into a vast industrial state!!
