Three men missed death by whiskers as the Hilux they were traveling in on Friday evening went out of control, uprooted a streetlight post and tumbled.

The incident happened along Ado/Owo, in Akure, Ondo State capital, and the vehicle involved is with plate number WWW941AE, of Ondo State.

One of the passagers was soaked with blood when The Hope went to the scene of the accident.

He related that they were coming from Shasha and on their way to Fiwasaye when a tyre of the vehicle bursted.

And in the process of the driver striving to steady the car, it went head first into the streetlight pole, and the vehicle tumbled, lying on its side.

The driver of the vehicle has a swollen face, but apart from that they all left the vehicle without any major harm done to them.

Soon after the incident, men of the Nigeria Police were on hand to maintain order and assist those involved in the accident.
