Three men who allegedly killed a corps member, in Osogbo have been remanded by an Osogbo Magistrates’ Court.
The police arraigned four accused persons, Jelili Kareem, 29, Oludayo Oludele, 34, Awodeji Muyiwa, 36, Anifowose Buliaminu, 25, alleged to have robbed the deceased corps member.
The accused persons committed the offence on January 28, 2020 at Omo West in Osogbo.
The prosecutor, Inspector Jacob Akintunde told the court that the first, second and third accused persons did rob the deceased Adebayo Mukaila of recharge cards worth N300,000 and the sum of N2,500 after which they unlawfully shot and killed him.
Akintunde said the fourth accused person, Buliaminu, unlawfully received recharge cards worth N300,000
But Buliaminu, pleaded not guilty to a one count charge of unlawful receiving stolen material leveled against him by the police, while the plea of other accused persons were not taken.
The offence committed contrary to and punishable under Section 6(b),1(1),(2)(a)324,319,and 427 of the Criminal Code Cap 34, Vol II, Laws of Osun State 2002 and the Robbery and Firearms (special provision) RII vol.14 Laws of Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The defence counsel K.A Adepoju prayed the court for the bail of the forth accused person, noting that his offense is bailable.
The Magistrate, Modupe Awodele ordered the remand of the first, second and third accused persons in police custody.
Awodele also granted the forth accused person N200,000 bail with two sureties in like sum, stating that one of the sureties must be a civil servant.
He adjourned till July 13, 2020.
