32 Artillery Brigade conducts Range exercise in Akure

The 32 Artillery Brigade, Owena Cantonment, Akure, has announced plans to conduct a Range Classification Exercise from Wednesday to Friday ,March 26 to 28, 2025, ,between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm daily at the Military Range, Ita-Ogbolu, Akure.

The exercise, a routine military training activity, aims to enhance the proficiency of officers and soldiers in weapon handling.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, 32 Artillery Brigade, Major Njoka Irabor on 25th March 2025.

As part of the training, there will be troop movements and live firing, prompting a public advisory against unnecessary panic upon hearing gunshots within the area.

Residents, commuters, and farmers in the Ita-Ogbolu general area are strongly advised to stay away from the range during the exercise period to ensure safety.

The military further urged the public and the media to help disseminate this information, including translating it into local languages for broader awareness.

It however thanked the public for their usual cooperation.
