5,000 benefit Rotary Club’s career talk

No fewer than 5,000 students selected across secondary schools in Ondo State benefited from the career talk organised by the Rotary Club of Akure Metro Districts 9125 Nigeria .
Career talk with the theme” Choosing A Career” was held at Aquinas College, Akure during the weekend .
President of the club, Rotarian Bode Ajibolamu said the programme was part of the club educational focus in developing the students in making right career choices.
He said the goal of the programme is to expose students to career paths in life that would help them develop their lives.
Other professionals in the security arm, health, engineering, medical among others also presented talks on their different fields and this was followed by a question and answer session.
The Asst. District Governor of Rotary Club of Akure Metro, Rotn. Kelvin Meyeyin said Rotary has interest not just in the educational sector but also in the area of healthcare delivery for maternal and child welfare among others.
Earlier in his opening address, the Chairman Planning Committee, and the Asst. Governor, Rotary Club of Akure Metro, Mr. B. J Lawani, said the career talk was carefully selected to be thought provoking and would have life transforming impact on the lives of the students.
Two of the students, Igbokwe Mabel from St. Louis Girls Grammar School and Adebowale Oluwanifemi from Aquinas College said the career talk was timely.
