I welcome my readers to this edition and I pray that our eyes of understanding is opened to the mystery of strongholds so we can deal with them.
A stronghold indicates a strong footing – something that is established. We shall look at internal stronghold today. If God permits, we shall look at External Strongholds in the next edition.
The battlefield of life is our mind. Please kindly give me your attention for few minutes. Please, get this right so we can get answers to our prayers. People pray, and if prayers are equal to answers, how sweet and how joyful we will be so Let’s deal with this. The most powerful influence over your life is your mind.
The devil can not get to you till he gets to you through your mind. You use your mind to think and you think in pictures. When you say snake, an image pops up in your mind. The mind is two – Conscious and Subconscious. The one that rules our lives is the Subconscious. Locked up in there are Thirty years information.
If you can reprogram what has been programmed in you through your life experiences, you will get better results. Please read these scriptures: Prov 23:7 “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he……”
Romans 12:2 “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect
2 Corinthians 10:3-4 “We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. [4]We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments.”
Dr. Caroline says “as we think, we change the physical nature of our brain. As we consciously direct our thinking, we can wire out toxic patterns of thinking and replace them with healthy thoughts”. What you choose to see, determines your reality. You have the power to change your reality by changing your focus.
2 Cor 10:5 is the way out. It Reads “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”
You have to consistently say No to those negative thoughts. Those thoughts of failure, defeat, sickness, anger, envy, jealousy e.t.c. Since there is no vacuum in nature, you must give your mind something else to imagine. If what you are seeing in life is not what you want, the first place to start your warfare is the stronghold of lies that have already formed in you.
There is practically nothing the devil and so called enemies can do if your mind has been taken care of. The quality of a soil is as equally important as the quality of the seed. Our mind is the soil. Whatever we allow into our mind is the seed.
To have a quality Mind that will give birth to your miracle, you have to do what Paul recommended in Romans 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
The only escape route for your life not to experience the evils that are happening around you is for your mind to be different. What will make your mind and life different according to the scripture above is The Word of God. When you dwell in the Word of God and God gives you understanding, you have a Renewed Mind. Such a Renewed Mind will produce what the Word says. If your mind is filled with something powerful like ” The sun shall not smite you by day or the moon by night”, you see the Sun cooperating to bring you to your destiny in life instead of working against you.
If however, your mind is filled with thoughts of failure and defeat, you see your life going after what is locked up in your mind. 2 Cor 10:5 now says you are to rise up and cast down imaginations and thoughts that are not destiny-compliant. It is you that will do that.
Don’t forget that Primarily, you must have the Replacement ready since there is no vacuum in nature. Get the Scriptures that will help you loaded up in your mind and move on and confess that which is in you. As You boldly declare who you are in Christ Jesus and what God has done for you in the place of prayer, you are actually pulling down strongholds that are anti-destiny.
Declare these scriptures:
❖ I am complete in Christ Col 2:10
❖ I am justified and glorified in Christ Rom 8:30
❖ Every handwriting against me is nailed to the cross Col 2:14, Ps 34:5
The means of transporting the promises of God and the will of God to our lives is through our mouth. They must be in our mind first before they can proceed out of our mouths. As they proceed out of our mouths, you see them becoming your Reality. You will have what you say.
Check your life, there is nothing you see now that you didn’t speak at one time or the other, consciously or unconsciously or spoken by your mother, father, teacher or neighbour. Sweetheart, you are a product of spoken words. Pull down the strongholds of that negative with the Word of God.
I wish you a very prosperous, glory filled 2022. Amen. Peradventure, you have not given your life to Christ, the first starting point is the salvation of your soul. The first stronghold to pull down is that Christ less life. Ask Him to come in Now.
After that, call the Holy Ghost in and surrender your life to Him. You need fellowship with bible believers.
