AAUA Mass Comm students hold dinner/award night

National Association of Mass Communication students (NAMACOS), Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba-Akoko has celebrated her dinner and Awards night with pomp and pageantry.

The dinner and awards night witnessed the conferment of many awards ranging from most influential, popular, reserved, intelligent students.

Awards of excellence were also given to all the executives in the association ranging from the president, vice president, general secretary, assistant general secretary, public relations officer, social director, welfare director, financial secretary and the sport director.

The event also attracted lecturers in the department and invited artistes, THOBIAS and funky brothers.

The Public Relations Officer of the association, Promise Adagba, bagged The Most lnfluential Person, Ogunsanmi Kolade bagged the Political lcon, Ajiboye Stephen won the Most Supportive Executive, Olowokere Godspower bagged the Most Supportive student, while Olaimolu Emmanuel carted home the best Artiste of the year award.

One of the Awardees, Ogunsanmi kolade who bagged the political icon commented that “I am very happy for being honoured. I appreciate the association as they count me worthy of receiving this award”

Olaimolu Emmanuel who bagged the best artist of the year award, expressed gratitude for being recognized.

The dinner and Award ceremony was interesting, as students of the association and other students from other departments described it as entertaining and fun

“The dinner and Award night is one of a kind with good setting, entertaining and fun” said Babalola Olamilekan, a 200 level student student of the department.

Also speaking, Kolawole Samson, another 200 level student, described the event as entertaining and a night that members of the association should not miss.

“The Mr and Miss NAMACOS beauty pageant is the most interesting part of the show. We got handsome and pretty ladies in our association, sai Bada Aderonke, a – 100level student.

Non-member of the association who attended also comment that the dinner and award night is a interesting one, as it comprises of various activities such as: dancing, singing, rapping, inspirational talks, Mr and miss NAMACOS beauty pageant show among others.

Adanlawo Fumilayo, a – 400 level Public Administration Department student who attended the event comment thus, “I am very happy to attend the dinner night seeing the calibre of people in attendance, personnel, students ranging from 100level to 400level, the activities are Interesting and entertaining”
