AAUA to hold 31st Inaugural Lecture December 17

Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, is set to hold its 31st Inaugural Lecture on Tuesday, December 17, 2023.

The event, scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m., will take place at the University’s Multipurpose Hall, with guests expected to be seated by 1:30 p.m.

The lecture will be delivered by Professor Comfort Adedoja Akinfolarin, a distinguished scholar in Educational Management. Titled “Resource Management: A Catalyst for Qualitative and Functional Education,” the lecture will address the critical role of resource management in enhancing the quality and functionality of education.

A statement from the Chairman of the Ceremonies Committee and Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), Professor Adebisi Daramola, revealed that the Vice Chancellor, Professor Olugbenga Ige, will preside over the event.

Professor Akinfolarin, who holds a Bachelor of Education degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, as well as both a Master’s and Ph.D. in Educational Management from Ekiti State University, is a respected academic with substantial contributions to research in the field. Her works are widely cited in the area of Educational Management.

Currently a lecturer in the Department of Educational Management at Adekunle Ajasin University, Professor Akinfolarin has held various academic and administrative positions within the institution.

Her academic influence extends internationally, having attended numerous conferences and workshops in the United Kingdom, the United States, and Ghana.

Professor Akinfolarin is also a member of several professional bodies, including the Nigerian Association for Educational Administration and Planning (NAEAP), the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), and the Commonwealth Council for Educational Administration and Management (CCEAM).

The 31st Inaugural Lecture is expected to provide valuable insights into how resource management can enhance education and contribute to national development.
