Staff of the Bursary Unit of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko,  (AAUA) have received the Vice Chancellor’s praise for showing commitment to duty and work ethics.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Igbekele Ajibefun, gave the commendation, during the Unit’s get-together held at the University’s Guest House.

He charged them to remain committed to duty and work always in line with the University’s cravings for excellence.

“The Bursary Department is a very pivotal and critical unit to the running of any institution, including a University. It is also a very sensitive unit whose workings require utmost seriousness. But in spite of the sensitive nature of the assignments, you all have been very responsible and diligent.

“I must, therefore, commend your commitment to work and commend you also for upholding work ethics. As professionals, you have proven excellence and demonstrated great capability. I want to urge you to continue in the same spirit, bearing in mind that the University appreciates you”, the VC added.

The Deputies Vice Chancellor, Professors Olugbenga Ige and Francis Gbore, described the unit as one ‘having good officers who are diligent and committed to work’. They encouraged the unit not to rest on its oars.

The University Bursar and host of the event, Mrs. V.O Ologun, who appreciated the officers for their cooperation and support, said, “In doing the job with the right measure of commitment and seriousness, you are contributing unique bricks to the building of a riding University.

“You are also, in so doing, building yourselves as sound professionals. I enjoin you all to continue to give your best to whatever assignment given at any point in time.”
