AAUA’s staff societies assures of better synergy

The various Staff Multipurpose Cooperative Societies in Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, have been promised improved working relationship by the management of the institution.

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Igbekele Ajibefun, gave the assurance at an education workshop organised by the Academic Staff Cooperative Multipurpose Society at the ASUU Cooperative Complex.

Ajibefun, who was represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), Prof. Olugbenga Ige said the societies have served as good mediators in the sustainability of their members financial empowerment.

He added that the institution would continue to support the societies in their quest to meet their financial obligations to members.

The keynote Speaker and Director, Ondo State Cooperative Service, Mr. Braiye Williams commended the Academic Staff Cooperative Multipurpose Society (ASCMS) for meeting up with global standards in the organisation of its activities.

He reiterated that cooperative societies are operated on basic ethics and values, and that such values are general norms that cooperators, committee members and staff should imbibe and use to guide their operations.

The Chairman, ASCMS AAUA, Dr. Afe appreciated the guests who were present and solicited better working conditions between the University Management and the Society.

In his speech, he explained that the workshop, which focuses on integrity and efficiency in cooperative ventures, examines the role of cooperators in the growth and development of cooperative.

The workshop was graced by the Vice Chancellor, the Bursar, Mrs. Olubunmi Ologun, key members of the management and staff of the institution.
