Abula : Team Ondo books final place in male, mixed doubles at NSF

Team Ondo Monday defeated host team 3-1 to qualify for final of the male traditional game (Abula) in male category .
Ondo State team also edged team Imo with same margin in the mixed doubles to book a place in the final against Delta State.
The results have ensured podium finish for Ondo State in the traditional game at the ongoing 22nd National Sports Festival (NSF)tagged: Gateway Games at MKO Abiola Stadium, Ogun State.
Team Ondo in the traditional game of Abula has qualified for the final in the male and mixed double categories at the ongoing National Sports Festival.
The festival is being held between May 16 and May 30 in Ogun State.
Ondo State Abula head coach, Olajide Ojo, in a chat with newsmen said he was elated with the display of his players in both categories.
Ojo added that it would be a thing of happiness and pride for the state to win its first gold in the game of Abula.
He said: “You know, in the first game, we lost to Rivers State, and I told you that it was a good game. So we had to work on our tactics and here we are in the final,” he said.
The final match of both categories will be decided tomorrow morning at the same venue.
Meanwhile team Ondo has lost their semi finals in the game on Volleyball and female basketball.
