According to him, in the next one year, when it comes to music in Ondo state, Bisimanuel will become the emblem and the name will be a household’s name.
There is a reason I mentioned Ondo state. It is not like I am trying to localize myself because a lot of people don’t even know I am in Ondo state.
He said he ventured into music being a pastor’s son who grew up in a Christian family, “my father is a pastor while my mother is a trader, so automatically we grew up in the church and as a pastor’s kid, it is normal for you to play the drum or any instrument and I play all these instruments. When I got to the university, I had the opportunity to compose song for a big programme and that was where everything changed but I have been singing before then.
He stated that his passion for music has opened so many doors since he started 11 years ago.
According to him he grew up as a normal child. “I have a very humble beginning, I grew up to know my father was a conductor while my mother a petty trader.
I grew up to see things and as a child of a pastor, you get to have spiritual experience with church members’ attack against the family and when it comes to composition of songs, it is always easy because I have seen a lot of things.
“I got lots of songs that I have composed, and I can’t count the number of songs that I have composed in my life. I do more than three songs a day.”
“I’m a Joseph Ayo Babalola University graduate and I read Computer Science, I also have a Masters Degree, while I’m currently running my Ph.D in FUTA in the same course”
The musician who hails from Ilesha in Osun State, noted that he believes in collaborative expressions that he can bring 10 or 20 people with different genres of music together and use it to bring that vibe back, that is to create a kind of expression when it comes to music.
According to him, his aim in the industry is to change the narrative of people who feel that good music has to be in a particular way. “They believe good music has to be slow or comes from a person of faith so that he can tag it a gospel song or whatever, we need danceable songs and songs that we can vibe to and this songs can be good songs from good people and I believe my music can help change that mentality.”
He noted that if he was not in music biz, he would have been playing football saying that he is also good in drawing as well or in an organisation working.
The musician stated that music is a business and the people he looks up to in the music business is the likes of Davido and Wizkid, saying they understand the business.
