Accused slums in court

There was pandemonium at the Osogbo Magistrates’ Court, when a 21-year-old man, Segun Balogun, who was arraigned for allegedly stealing phones and money, suddenly collapsed during court session.
Balogun, who is facing three counts charge, had pleaded not guilty to the first charge,
But as the court clerk was about reading the second charge against him, he just slumped in the dock.
However, the prosecutor, ASP Kayode Adeoye, told the court that the accused person was very okay before he was brought before the court.
According to the charge sheet, the accused stole Infinix Hot 6 phone valued at N37,500, Itel p33 phone worth N23,500, itel phone N3,000, an Automated Teller Machine card, Bluetooth headphones valued at N2,500 and the sum of N7,000.
He was said to have committed the offence on October 4, 2019, at Nelson Mandela freedom park,in Osogbo.
The prosecutor, Asp Kayode Adeoye, told the court that the accused person was alright before he was brought to the court.
The Magistrate, Mrs Risikat Olayemi, therefore, directed that the accused be taken to the hospital for proper medication.
She adjourned the case till October 14, 2019.
