ACE donates cash to wounded police officers

The Management of Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo has donated three hundred thousand naira to some wounded police officers for treatment as its corporate social responsibility.
This gesture was in response to an appeal made by the authority of the Nigeria Police Force, Enu -Owa Division, Ondo requesting for financial assistance from the College Management to aid the treatment of the police officers who were wounded while performing their official duties.
The victims were seriously wounded when the suspects they were about to apprehend suddenly engaged them in a shootout late last year.
Several of the officers sustained injuries, of which two are currently in critical condition at the hospital, while one officer lost his life at the scene of the clash.
To this end, the management of Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo, under the leadership of Dr. Samuel Akintunde, made the token donation to facilitate the medical treatment of the wounded officers.
Presenting the cash donation, the Director of Medical Services, Dr. Adekunle Ogunmosin, conveyed the message of the Provost and the management to the Divisional Police Officer, Enu-Owa Police Station, Mr. Ayodeji Isinkaye, a Superintendent of Police.
While receiving the cash donation, SP Isinkaye appreciated the College management for the kind gesture.
He promised to write the college officially to acknowledge the humanitarian gesture towards the police.
Also present at the event were the Divisional Crime Officer (DCO) of the Station, ASP. Lawal Olusesan, Sergeant Siji Akinyugbo.
