Adefiranye offers school materials, cash to students

Festus Adefiranye (M) presenting cash gift to one of the beneficiaries

No fewer than 21 outstanding students across Ileoluji/Okeigbo and Odigbo federal constituency have benefited from educational materials and cash gifts  awards by Mr. Festus Adefiranye.

This was part of activities at his prize giving, award and back to school empowerment programme .

Speaking at the event held at St Mark’s Anglican Primary School, Ore, in Odigbo Local Government, Adefiranye who had earlier sponsored a summer  coaching programme said his aim is to develop everyone in the federal constituency, not just by sponsoring bills but also by supporting their visions and pursuits.

The House of Representatives member thanked God for Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu’s quick recovery, noting he will continue to partner the state government in the delivery of dividends of democracy.

Adefiranye equally appreciated the State Commissioner for Finance Mr. Wale Akinterinwa for assisting the Governor in reaching out to the masses especially through the palliative distribution effort.

He expressed the belief that the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration will commit about 25 percent of the national budget to education,  as a move that will reposition and reinforce the educational sector with a multiplier effect on every student across the country.

The guest speaker, Ag. Director General/Chief Executive, National Institute for Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA-NIGERIA) Ondo state. Dr. David Shofoyeke said the programme is designed to provide

information which is the power for skill and development, allowing the youths to become self sufficient and helpful citizens of the state.

Dr Shofoyeke noted that Adefiranye possesses all of the characteristics of a responsible leader for identifying himself with the constituents by returning quality prices to the future leaders.

He described Adefiranye as a person who is accountable to his constituents.

In his remarks, the General Coordinator of the well attended summer holiday lesson, Mr Abayomi Ajayi appreciated the teachers students across Ileoluji/Okeigbo and Odigbo federal constituency for their maximum corporation and contribution during and after the programme.

Other dignitaries who were in attendance include traditional rulers across IleolujiOkeigbo and Odigbo federal constituency, APC leaders and other notable personalities.
