Adelami assumes duty, assures improved workplace
Ondo State Deputy Governor, Dr Olayide Adelami has assumed duty after his inauguration last week.
Adelami who was received on arrival by his staff led by the Administrative Secretary, Mr Idowu Ojo, played host to some top government functionaries including the Secretary to the State Government, Temitayo Oluwatuyi and the Head of Service, Pastor Kayode Ogundele.
The Deputy Governor later went round to visit his entire staff in their respective offices and some strategic places like the State Executive Council Chamber and the Cocoa Conference Hall, within the Governor’s Office complex.
Addressing the staff, Adelami commended them for their diligence and commitment to duty and assured that all inconveniences in their workplace environments will be discussed with the Governor who he described as a listening leader.
“I’m happy to be with you. Let me inform you that I’m one of you. I wish to commend your patience and sense of industry not minding lack of spaces in your offices.
“Please be sure that I will discuss my observations with Mr Governor who is a listening leader,” he said.
The Deputy Governor used the opportunity to hint on possible innovations back-up by relevant ICT values in a bid to enhance efficiency and transparency in governance.
While thanking the Deputy Governor for going round to meet his staff in their respective offices, the Administrative Secretary Mr Idowu Ojo said the visit was a motivation that will soon begin to reflect in the service delivery of the workers.
