Adeleke tasks ALGON on good governance

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has charged all local government chairmen in the state under the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria( ALGON), to be good to the people in their respective domains.
Adeleke gave the charge through the state Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi while declaring open a three- day Executive retreat for all local government Chairmen in the state.
He noted that good governance at grassroots setting enhances a good standard of living for all people.
To achieve this, the governor implored all the local government chairmen to prioritize the welfare of the people at their different local governments by concentrating on laudable projects that would have great impacts on the peculiar needs of the people.
Earlier, Secretary to the State Government,(SSG),Teslim Igbalaye in his address advised the local government chairmen to administer their different local domains with the fear of God.
He equally admonished them to work as a team with other political and non political office holders to enhance the spirit of running an all inclusive government.
In his welcome address, Chairman, Ifelodun Local Government who doubles as the Chairman, Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) in Osun State, Sarafadeen Awotunde appreciated governor Adeleke for setting a good template of governance for them.
Awotunde described Adeleke as a good mirror, which, all them will from time to time look at with a view to carrying out their jobs effectively and conscientiously at the grassroots.
