Adeyemi College Provost cautions over social vices

The Provost of Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo, Dr. Samuel Akintunde has advised the newly admitted students into the institution to be good ambassadors and desist from all forms of social vices.

Akintunde, who spoke at the recent matriculation ceremony for 2,081 students of the school, stressed the need for them to refrain from engaging in vices such as rape, indecent dressing, examination malpractice, or indulge in anything that could terminate their studentship and lead to their expulsion from the College.

He also urged them to make effective use of line of authority consulting the Dean of Student Affairs, Counseling and Human Development Centre, Deans, Directors and Student Union body when the need arises.

Also, the Vice- Chancellor, Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Ile-Ife, Prof. Adebayo Simeon Bamire harped on the need for the students to focus on their primary aim of being in school.

The OAU Vice Chancellor also stressed the need for students to abide by the four Ps that could help them to succeed, which include purpose, perspective, productivity and persistence.

He said when applied, the Ps would guide them approximately, and enhance their success in their educational pursuits.
