Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo has matriculated over 5,000 students for the 2019/2020 session.
The students were admitted for National Certificate Examination (NCE) and degree programmes into School of Languages, School of Art and Social Sciences, School of Vocational and Technical Education among others.
The matriculation ceremony which took place at Babatunde Ipaye hall situated at the institution was graced by the Registrar of the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB), Ishaq Olarewaju Oloyede, re-presented by the Ondo State Co-ordinator of the board, Mr Bamisaye Benjamin, the Vice Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife (OAU) Professor Eyitope Ogunbodede among others.
The newly admitted students pledged to be faithful and observe the rules and regulations governing their studentship when taking the oath of allegiance.
In his welcome speech, the Vice Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife (OAU), Professor Eyitope Ogunbodede, re-presented by Acting Dean,Faculty of Education (OAU), Omoteso Bonke advised the students not to get involved in any form of anti social behaviour such as misconduct, cultism, vandalism, hooliganism among others.
On his part, the Provost of ACE, Dr Samuel Akintunde congratulated the matriculants enjoined them to learn hard and warned them against rape, drug abuse, indecent dressing and cultism.
He therefore charged them to adhere strictly to the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) COVID-19 guidelines including wearing of facemask, regular hand washing.
Some of the matriculants who could not hide their Joy appreciated God for the privilege and as well pray for the grace to be successful in the race.
