Students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) have been implored to strictly adhere to the resumption date approved by the school management.

Deputy Vice Chancellor (academics) of the University, Professor Francis Gbore gave the admonition while addressing the students at a gathering.

Prof Gbore who said the Calendar for another session was proposed to the Senate of the university and was assented to afterwards, hinted that there would be total adherence to the resumption date and academic calendar.

“The academic calendar sent to the university community has been approved by the Senate and the entire students populace are hereby urged to affirm to it” he said.

The students however agitated against November 24th marked as the resumption date for 2019/2020 academic session despite that the current session would end by November 10th.

Among the agitating students include students of Faculty of Education who are going for teaching practice in the next session. They claimed that the two weeks break would not be enough to prepare them for the teaching practice.

Professor Gbore however made it clear that resumption date remains November 24th and stressed further that students who do not adhere to it are on their own.
