Agagu lauds ODHA on ETF bill

Ondo State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mr Femi Agagu have commended the members of the state House of Assembly for passing the Education Trust Fund Bill into law.

He gave the commendation during an interview with press men,adding   that education sector is a sector that could not be left to suffer for too long.

Agagu said the ministry came about the idea of the trust fund to expand the resources of the sector.

According to him,” we came about the initiative so that we can expand the resource  base for the education sector, and we have been on this for about a year now .

“And we have been very happy that the bill has been passed and we are hopeful that the governor,Oluwarotimi Akeredolu will assent to it” he stated.

The Commissioner  also said that the ministry has been working with the Board of Internal  Revenue so as to work the modalities for the program.

He said” we have plans and programs already on ground they are waiting for the resources whenever it’s ready”
