He said the accused person also collected N44,000 from one Olusola Omoniyi to get him an apartment, but failed to do so.

The offence was said to contravene sections 419, 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Osun, 2002.

Adeyinka, who is facing a four-count charge bordering on stealing and fraud, said he did not commit the offence.

The defence counsel, Mrs Bose Dada, prayed the court to grant her client bail in most liberal terms.

The Magistrate, Mr Ola Olagoke, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N100,000 and one surety in like sum.

Olagoke said the surety must reside within the court’s jurisdiction and should show evidence of tax payment to Osun Government.

He adjourned the case till May 28, 2019 for mention.
