It was unfortunate that we could not convert even one of the numerous chances created against Niger Tornadoes in the match day 18 of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), Sunshine Stars Head Coach ,Edith Agoye has lamented.

The former Shooting Stars coach, in a post match interview with newsmen at the Ondo State Sports complex, Akure after his side played a barren draw with Niger Tornados, said the result was not a good one.

Agoye added that in a game of football, if you fail to take your chances, there is no way you can win such a game.

Sunshine Stars had played a barren draw against Niger Tornadoes in the match day 18 of the (NPFL) with many goal scoring chances created in both half of the encounter.

The Akure Landlords could not convert any of the chances created for the duration of game and currently 11 on the league table with 22 points, while Niger Tornadoes are 13 with 20 points.

According to him, “despite many goal scoring chances that we created, we couldn’t score even one of them, now we have to go to Ilorin against Kwara United to and look for the lost point.”

He said it’s not easy to get points in away, adding that all clubs are trying to make their homes a fortress, when you don’t win at home it’s very difficult to win in away.

“Although, Niger Tornadoes did it against us, and we are looking forward to the game against Kwara United in Ilorin, hopefully we will be able to get a point”, he said.
