Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has said that the new sources of income are tourism and agriculture and it has great potential for human life.

The Governor represented by his Deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa disclosed this at the commissioning of NIBANOLA MOTHERLAND, a World class Resort centre situated at Km 7, Ondo-Ore Express way, Igbado, Ondo.

His words, “the conception and birthing of this project which is a promotion of tourism are very apt as the current state of the economy in Nigeria and the World at large has necessitated the need to look beyond oil, therefore the new sources of income are tourism and agriculture.

“NIBANOLA MOTHERLAND is in three sections: the farm, the Resort and the Golf View Estate which is a private Residential area of the facility, “this is indeed World class”, said the Governor.

The Governor praised the owners of the Resort centre, Dr ‘Jibayo Adeyeye and his wife, Prof Olufunke Adeyeye for their patriotism, saying, if properly utilized, tourism and agriculture could provide significant wealth for the State and the country.

The Governor stressed further that, he will sustain the ongoing private sector-driven economy of the State by providing enabling environment for investors to thrive.

Calling on citizens of the State to have deep interest in the State at heart by coming home to invest, Akeredolu said, the State is proud of the accomplishments of the promoters of the Resort centre.

Earlier in his welcome speech, the promoter of the resort, Dr Jibayo Adeyeye went down memory lane on how what is today one of the best resorts in Nigeria, NIBANOLA MOTHERLAND came about.

“This resort is a vision which has come to fruition through commitment, steadfastness and the grace of God,” Dr Jibayo said.

According to him, the project which is multi-purpose is expected to boost the tourism sector and provide employment for hundreds of people.

The ceremony attracted dignitaries from all works of life including a Lawmaker representing Ondo West/East Federal Constituency, Hon Abiola Makinde, members of Ondo State Executive Council, traditional rulers led by Osemawe of Ondo Kingdom, Oba Victor Adesimbo Kiladejo among others.
