Agricultural Input Supply Agency, AISA,  said it will pursue untapped revenue sources to increase its Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).

The Administrative Secretary of the Agency, Mr Adeola Akinyugha  said this in a chat with The Hope, saying it aimed at meeting its target of its new mandate to automate  revenue collection, expand revenue sources and block all loopholes.

He said the agency will be visiting Ekiti, Osun, Oyo, Ogun and Lagos states to understudy their revenue sources with the aim of bringing innovations.

” So, the quest to search for revenue sources in the Western Region in order to be regional-friendly and conform with Development Agenda of Western Nigeria (DAWN) is the only vehicle to increase the IGR of the agency in order to contribute its  quota to the central IGR of the State.”

According to him, the agency is making the move now due to the civil service bureaucracy which he said involves data collection, collation, processing, analysis, reporting with the management of the Ministry and Internal Revenue Services among many others.

Various revenue sources, tariffs backing their generation and the strategies involved in generating them with purchasing of necessary documents on them, he said, will be requested by the visiting team.
