Aiyedatiwa approves review of stipends for Ago-Ireti dwellers

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has directed the immediate disbursement of all outstanding arrears for Ago-Ireti residents.
Ago-Ireti, settlement of hope, is a settlement of people with impacts of leprosy.
Few days ago, the residents complained that their monthly stipends had not been paid since January.
In a statement by Comrade Allen Sowore, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Strategic Communication, Aiyedatiwa has approved an upward review of the stipends in line with the current economic realities.
The statement reads: “On September 13, 2024, the attention of the Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency Lucky Aiyedatiwa, was brought to the unfortunate delay in the payment of stipends to the residents of Ago-Ireti.
“In response, Governor Aiyedatiwa has now directed the immediate disbursement of all outstanding arrears. Furthermore, he has approved an upward review of the stipends in line with the current economic realities.
“The governor remains committed to his administration’s policy of inclusivity and prioritizing the well-being of all citizens. No one, including the vulnerable, will be overlooked.”
