Aiyedatiwa commiserates with Deji over Oluwatuyi’s death

The Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, on Monday, visited the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Odundun II, to offer his condolences following the death of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Hon. Temitayo Oluwatuyi.
Oluwatuyi, popularly known as “Tuykana,” passed away last Saturday, leaving behind a remarkable legacy of service and dedication as a prominent son of Akure.
Aiyedatiwa, accompanied by members of the State Executive Council, visited the Deji-in-Council and leaders of Akure-speaking communities at the palace.
He expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the late Oluwatuyi, describing him as a distinguished politician, an adept grassroots mobilizer, and a trusted ally who earned admiration from all who knew him.
“Oluwatuyi’s death is a painful one. He was a rare gem, a jolly good fellow, and someone who was deeply loved by the people. We have truly lost an exceptional individual,” Governor Aiyedatiwa remarked. He prayed for divine comfort for the Akure community and strength to endure the irreplaceable loss.
In his response, Oba Aladetoyinbo described the late Oluwatuyi as a “big fish” and one of Akure’s finest sons.
He lamented the loss, acknowledging that it was a significant blow to the community.
“This is a great loss for Akure. Oluwatuyi was one of our finest. We will continue to intensify prayers for his family and our community,” the monarch said.
The Deji also expressed his gratitude to Governor Aiyedatiwa for his unwavering support for Akure and its people during this challenging time.
Spiritual prayers were offered by the Asae of Akure Kingdom, Senior High Chief Sola Adegbonmire, who led special prayers for the late Oluwatuyi’s family, the Akure community, and the state as a whole.
