Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has congratulated Dr. Olufemi Adekanmbi over his appointment as the new Project Coordinator for the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HYPREP) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
President Tinubu on Saturday approved the appointment of Adekanmbi, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, to head HYPREP.
According to a statement issued by Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor on Saturday, Dr. Adekanmbi is a former Commissioner for Special Duties, Culture and Tourism in Ondo State, and a member of the Nigerian Environmental Society (NES).
The Governor, who appreciated Mr. President for the appointment, expressed confidence in the competence and capacity of Dr. Adekanmbi to excel in the new role.
Governor Aiyedatiwa said he has no doubt that Adekanmbi will fulfill the mandate given to him by the President to restore and revitalize communities impacted by hydrocarbon pollution in the country.
The Governor urged Dr. Adekanmbi to reciprocate the trust reposed in him by the President by achieving great feats with the agency in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President.
