Top aide, Alonge, urges Ondo voters to re-elect Gov

The Ondo State Government has disbursed a whopping N3.3billion under its Social Investment Programme to the elderly, unemployed youths, physically challenged, and critically ill persons in the state, The Hope can exclusively report.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Social Investment, Mr. Felix Kolawole Alonge, who disclosed this in an exclusive interview with The Hope in Akure, also revealed that the present administration under Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa had given Social Investment programmes a priority.
He explained that this was evident in the recent disbursement of the over N3.3billion lifeline to the various categories of beneficiaries in the state.
Alonge further disclosed that no fewer than 77,000 people in the state benefited from the programme, according to the names of beneficiaries on the Social Register, which he said is also a component of the National Social Register.
The SSA particularly lauded Governor Aiyedatiwa for his unwavering commitment to constantly improving the welfare of the people of the state.
He further lauded the Governor for the various transformations being recorded across all sectors of the economy, just as he charged the people of the state to continue to support Aiyedatiwa through their votes, for more people-oriented programmes and projects across the nooks and crannies of the Sunshine State.
Alonge expressed confidence in the leadership of the incumbent Governor and APC candidate, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa and his ability to bring prosperity and opportunities to the people of the state.
“This thing has also been foretold in the past by men of vision that at a time in his lifetime, he will be the governor of Ondo State,” said Alonge, highlighting the divine agenda behind the Governor’s rise to power.
He described the Governor as a man of “impeccable integrity and character” who has been running an all-inclusive government since his assumption of office over 10 months ago.
Alonge also commended the Governor for the implementation of the various youth empowerment programmes, including skill acquisition Initiative that has trained and provided startup funds to young entrepreneurs.
“For every role, the state government is going to provide facilities where individuals can acquire specific skills, enabling them to have a reasonable means of livelihood. In the recent N-Power initiative, some youths who were trained in various skills received startup funds and equipment to establish businesses of their choice after being properly screened and trained,” the aide elaborated.
He stressed that under the current administration, the state has seen significant progress in various sectors.
“In the health sector, the Governor has ensured the establishment of a modern Mother-and-Child hospital equipped with necessary drugs and medical personnel. At the same time, in terms of personnel, some medical officers and health officers have also been employed, so that the health of the good people of Ondo State will be well taken care of, and at a minimum cost.
“The education sector has also witnessed improvements, with the government recruiting more teachers, building new and renovating existing public schools, which has increased enrollment in public schools across the State.
“In the area of infrastructure, I want to commend Mr Governor’s efforts in constructing roads across the state, including ongoing flyover at Onyearugbulem, which has significantly improved safety and connectivity. This particular period it’s really a consortium and that’s why for me, I’m appealing to the good people from the state that they’ll still witness a lot of these achievements when Mr. Governor is elected.”
Ahead of the Saturday governorship election, Alonge called on all APC leaders and supporters to continue to mobilise massive support for the Governor to ensure overwhelming victory at the polls.
