Princess Chief Christianah Monisola Ajulo was born on March 14, 1935, in Ifira-Akoko, Akoko South-East Local Government Area of Ondo State. Despite facing early hardship, including the death of her father, Christianah’s resilience and determination saw her rise above the challenges of life. She was raised by her industrious mother, Madam Ibironke, a livestock trader, who instilled in her a strong work ethic and a sense of independence.
Christianah pursued vocational training as a seamstress, and later became a successful textile merchant, working in markets across Ijebu-Ode and Ibadan. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to establish Ti Oluwa Ni Ile Bookshop, marking her entry into the book trade and further solidifying her place as a prominent businesswoman in the region.
Despite her limited formal education, Princess Christianah was deeply committed to the education of her children. She ensured that all of them, including her son Dr. Kayode Ajulo, received higher education, encouraging them to excel academically and become leaders in their respective fields.
Christianah’s faith and commitment to the church are integral to her life. She is a founding member of the Egbe Ajihinrere Christian group in the Akure Diocese and served as the Iya-Ijo (Mother of the Church) at Christ Anglican Church in Ifira-Akoko. Throughout her life, she is a dedicated evangelist, spreading the message of faith and devoted to others in her community.
Her marriage to the late Solomon Ayodele Olusoji Ajulo was blessed with many children, several of whom have gone on to achieve notable successes in various fields. Christianah’s legacy extends far beyond her immediate family, as she has been a source of inspiration to many in her church, her community, and beyond.
As the ceremony drew to a close, it was clear that Princess Chief Christianah Monisola Ajulo’s 90th birthday celebration was not just an occasion of personal joy, but a moment of collective thanksgiving.
