Aiyedatiwa firm on improving residents’ well-being

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has reaffirmed his commitment to improving the lives of residents in the state.
He vowed to continue implementing policies and projects that will enhance infrastructure, foster economic growth, and uplift communities.
Governor Aiyedatiwa stated this at the meeting of APC members from the ilaje local government area of the state held on Sunday, at the Williams hall in Igbokoda, headquarters of the council area.

He emphasized that his unwavering commitment transcends mere words, with tangible evidence of practical initiatives and policies that prioritize community empowerment, infrastructure development and economic prosperity.
Aiyedatiwa expressed his gratitude to the people for their support which led to his emergence as the flag bearer of the party
and to the party faithful for being present to strategize for the party’s progress ahead of the fast approaching gubernatorial election in the Sunshine State.






He acknowledged that it was normal for some people to support different candidates within the party during the primary election. However, he emphasized that now that the party members have selected their preferred candidate, everyone must unite and collaborate to ensure the party’s success.
He also pledged that his administration would directly address the major challenges facing the local government area. This includes the metering of houses to improve power supply and ensuring that the Lagos-Calabar coastal road passes through the region.
He urged community members not to vandalize the recently commissioned electricity project in the region, emphasizing that it was implemented for the community’s benefit.
He stressed the importance of collective responsibility, urging the entire community to take care of the project and ensure its maintenance.
Aiyedatiwa concluded by encouraging party members to actively engage in the ongoing INEC registration process, emphasizing its significance in boosting their prospects for involvement in the upcoming November 16 gubernatorial election in the state.
Earlier, in his welcome address, the party chairman of the council area, Raphael Adegboye, thanked the members for their steadfastness, which contributed to the successful conclusion of the recent primary election in the state.
While congratulating Governor Aiyedatiwa on becoming the party’s flag bearer, he urged members to stay united and prioritize the party’s interests over personal ambitions to ensure the party’s success in the November election.
Additionally, Dr. Taye Malumi, a party leader in the local government area, appreciated party members for their unwavering commitment and encouraged continued support for the Aiyedatiwa administration.
Ibukun Omotehinse, an elder statesman and dedicated party member from the local government area, expressed that the people of Ilaje have high expectations from the Aiyedatiwa administration due to the significant hardships they have endured.
He noted that the residents believe their problems will be resolved with one of their own as governor. Omotehinse also urged the governor to ensure that the newly approved Lagos-Calabar coastal road passes through their region, as this would greatly enhance its development.
He also appealed to the governor to address the critical issue of sea incursion, emphasizing the urgency of tackling this problem. He urged the governor to implement immediate and effective measures to mitigate the effects and protect the coastal regions from further damage.
In attendance included, Chief of staff to the governor, Prince Segun Omojuwa, Deputy speaker of the state house of assembly, Rt. Hon. Abayomi Akinruntan, members of the state executive council from the council area, elder statesmen, and leaders of the party.
