Aiyedatiwa inspects Ikare-Akoko Stadium

…promises to revive sporting activities across all stadia in the state

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has inspected Ikare-Akoko Sunshine Stadium as parts of his recent efforts to revive sports across the state.

Aiyedatiwa,who led some of the State Executive Council (SEC) members on the inspection was not impressed over the lack of activities at the stadium.

The governor, who had just awarded the contract for renovation of Ondo State Sports Complex in Akure and assured of improving facilities at other government stadia across the state to boost sporting activities and discover more talents,assured of fixing facilities at the venue.

Also with the governor are; Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Mr Saka Yusuf-Ogunleye, Commissioner for Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Taminu Takuro and Commissioner for Environment, Biyi Oseni and Owa-Ale of Ikare-Akoko, Oba Adeleke Adegbite-Adedoyin.

Also speaking at the site of inspection, the Owa-Ale of Ikare-Akoko, Oba Adeleke Adegbite-Adedoyin, pleaded with the government to help revamp the stadium as he called it the pride of Ikare-Akoko people.
