Aiyedatiwa named life patron of St. Monica’s Girls’ Grammar School

Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has been conferred with the prestigious title of Life Patron of Saint Monica’s Girls’ Grammar School, Ondo.
The principal of the school, Chief (Mrs) Adeola Akinseloyin, stated that the honour was in recognition of the governor’s achievements in education and human development.
The title was bestowed upon him during the school’s 70th platinum anniversary celebration in Ondo.
Representing the governor at the event, the Ondo West Local Government chairman-elect, Hon. Ayotunde Akinfolarin, reaffirmed the administration’s unwavering commitment to the education sector and the welfare of workers in the state.
He emphasised the government’s determination to provide quality education, strengthen institutions, and support initiatives that empower students for a brighter future.
Commending the principal, Chief (Mrs) Akinseloyin, for her contributions to academic excellence and infrastructural development, he said:
“In a special way, I want to commend the principal, Chief (Mrs) Akinseloyin, for your laudable achievements in academic and infrastructural development in the school.
“Also, I want to thank the old students association for their support towards the development of the school. I encourage the principal to sustain her efforts in ensuring that St. Monica’s continues to be a model institution.
“As an administration, we would not shy away from performing our basic responsibilities to all our workers. We would continue to pay salaries as and when due, give them their promotions and other incentives towards improving their welfare.”
The governor reiterated his commitment to enhancing the welfare of educators and improving learning facilities across the state.
He urged students to remain dedicated to their studies and avoid activities that could negatively impact their academic pursuits.
A highlight of the event was the presentation of the award, The Historic Sweep Platinum, in recognition of the governor’s resounding victory across all 18 local government areas of the state.
Additionally, two books titled Governor Aiyedatiwa’s Season of Success Stories, edited by Hon. Ayotunde Akinfolarin, were donated to the school.
The school also unveiled a magazine, Empowered to Break Barriers.
