Governors of Ondo and Ekiti states, Dr Lucky Aiyedatiwa and Mr Biodun Oyebanji, have felicitated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 73rd birthday, extolling his leadership and acknowledging the federal government’s unprecedented developmental strides in their respective states.

In a congratulatory message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, Governor Aiyedatiwa described Tinubu as an icon of excellence, courage, and dedication to democracy, noting his unwavering commitment to the nation’s progress.

“I write to congratulate an icon, a worthy example in excellence, courage, and passion; a dogged fighter and leader of leaders, His Excellency, the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, on the auspicious occasion of his 73rd birthday,” Aiyedatiwa stated.

The governor acknowledged Tinubu’s resilience in upholding progressive ideals, even when they were politically unfashionable, stressing that his bold decisions have shaped the nation’s trajectory.

“As the father of the nation, we appreciate the wisdom you exhibited in quelling a political inferno while entrenching stability in Ondo State when we direly needed it. More importantly, your developmental support towards making Ondo great is evident in the dualisation of the Ore-Ondo-Akure road, the establishment of the Federal University of Technology Teaching Hospital, the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project, and the aviation institution, among other key infrastructural projects and appointments benefiting Ondo sons and daughters.”

Similarly, Governor Oyebanji, in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode, hailed Tinubu as a national treasure whose sacrifices for democracy and governance remain unparalleled.

He lauded the president’s political, social, and economic reforms, which he said have led to significant progress across sectors.

“President Tinubu is a man of history with golden chapters as a corporate professional, astute politician, pro-democracy activist, and the arrowhead of the movement that fought for the restoration of civil rule in Nigeria. His imprints at both subnational and national levels as a senator, a two-term governor, and now president are a testament to his enduring legacy,” Oyebanji noted.

The Ekiti governor particularly commended Tinubu for his demonstrated support towards the state’s development, citing the newly approved Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences in Iyin Ekiti as the latest evidence of the president’s commitment to Ekiti’s growth.

He assured Tinubu of Ekiti State’s unflinching support in his drive to reposition Nigeria for greatness, praying for his continued good health, wisdom, and strength to steer the country towards economic prosperity.

“On behalf of the government and good people of Ekiti State, we say a happy birthday to the father of the nation. Long and joyful may you live, our dear President,” the statement read.

Both governors reaffirmed their confidence in Tinubu’s leadership, highlighting the unprecedented federal presence in their states as a sign of renewed hope under his administration.
