Emphasizing that the primary mandate of any government is the security and welfare of the people, Governor Aiyedatiwa stated;

“We believe in security, the protection of lives and property, and the overall well-being of the people. We will spare no effort in supporting our security outfits to ensure the safety of our citizens.”

He further assured that the government is determined to make Ondo State one of the safest states in Nigeria.

He said “The government is committed to providing more operational vehicles to our security outfits to smoothen their operations within the state. Plans are already in place, and we are working diligently to ensure that these vehicles are made available as soon as possible. Our priority is to equip our security personnel with the necessary resources to enhance their effectiveness in maintaining peace and order across the state.”

Expressing appreciation for the collaboration between the Police and other security agencies, Governor Aiyedatiwa stressed the importance of synergy in combating security challenges.

CP Peter Abayomi, the 44th State Commissioner of Police, who led the management team to the Governor’s office extended congratulations to Governor Aiyedatiwa on his transition from Deputy Governor to the substantive Governor.

During the meeting, CP Abayomi highlighted the collaborative efforts between the police and other security agencies in the state, resulting in the arrest of several criminals. He assured continued dedication from officers and expressed gratitude for the Governor’s support to all security agencies in the State.

Furthermore, CP Abayomi on behalf of the police force pledged to protect the people of the State and emphasized the commitment of the entire force to combatting crime, ensuring a safer environment for all residents to thrive.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Governor Dr. Olayide Adelami, Chief of Staff Prince Segun Omojuwa, and other government appointees.
