Aiyedatiwa promises more good roads

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has said measures are already in place to rehabilitate over 60 kilometers of road network across the State.
The Governor gave the assurance while playing host to Ikale traditional rulers from Okitipupa & Irele Local Government led by Jegun of Idepe Okitipupa, Oba Micheal Obatuga Adetoye on Tuesday in his office in Alagbaka, Akure.
During the meeting, Aiyedatiwa sought the support of traditional rulers regarding security, grassroots mobilization, and peace within their respective domains.
Aiyedatiwa appreciated the monarchs for the support given to the administration from 2017 till date.
“Allow me to extend my deepest gratitude to the esteemed monarchs gathered here today. Your steadfast support for our administration since 2017 has been truly invaluable. Your unwavering backing has fueled our efforts to serve the people of Ondo State diligently and effectively.”
The Governor stated that all the challenges mentioned would all be attended to in due time.
“I want to assure everyone here that all the challenges we’ve discussed will be addressed without delay. Each issue will receive our full attention and efforts for swift resolution.” Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa affirmed.
“A fundamental aspect we must acknowledge is the indispensable role of our traditional institutions; they are indispensable partners with the government,” stated Aiyedatiwa.
Earlier, the Jegun of Idepe Okitipupa, Oba Micheal Obatuga Adetoye congratulated the Governor on his assumption as Executive Governor of Ondo State.
”I congratulate the Governor on assuming the role of 7th Executive Governor of Ondo State. I’m using this opportunity to let you know that the traditional rulers from Ikale will continue to support your administration and reiterate our commitment to the advancement of the state”
He then commiserated with the people and the government over the demise of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
The monarch highlighted some of the challenges faced at the Okitipupa and Irele Local Governments ranging from bad road network, lack of electricity for 15 years, mobility among others.
